| The Allegan General Hospital House Band is set to take the stage at “Allegan Live” on Saturday, July 2 from 7 to 9 p.m. as a fundraiser for the Allegan General Hospital Foundation. The event will take place along the riverfront at the Mahan Park Gazebo.
Although the performance is free, donations will be accepted for the Foundation’s Allegan Neighbors Fund. This fund assists individuals and families without adequate resources with expenses related to necessary healthcare including prescriptions, durable medical equipment and transportation. More than $6,000 from this fund has already been used to help those in need. |

| “We feel honored to be able to entertain the community on the 4th of July weekend,” said Brent Larson, AGH Foundation Executive Director. ““The range of music and musical styles the band will be playing is likely to bring a smile for people of all ages. We hope that many people in the community will come and join in the fun, for a good cause.”
The House Band features Dr. Tim Dickinson, Shirley Sutton-Rop (chief clinical officer), Brent Larson (foundation director), David Beeson (clinic administrator), Jeff Clearwater (psychologist) and Sheila Clearwater. Together, they build a rich blend of harmonies along with a strong collection of acoustic and electric guitars.
They will play a variety of music from favorite classics to contemporary hits. The band was the brainchild of Shirley Sutton-Rop. They made their debut last month during an Allegan Healthcare Group employee training and celebration event during “National Hospital Week.”
Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or folding chairs to sit on during the concert. The AGH Foundation will also be selling refreshments including homemade pizza, popcorn, trail mix, water and pop. All proceeds from the refreshments will also benefit the Allegan Neighbors Fund.
The Allegan General Hospital Foundation invites and accepts financial gifts to help further the mission of Allegan General Hospital, and to support selected health-related projects in the community.
