History of the Allegan Medical ClinicThe practice was incorporated in July 1972 by three physicians -- Harry Schneider, MD, Family Practice; Orhan Tugrul, MD, Internal Medicine; and Lawrence LaGattuta, MD, General Surgery. Previously, each had solo practices in Allegan. They moved into a new office next door to the former Allegan Health Center, which is now Allegan General Hospital. The Allegan Medical Clinic has always required that its doctors and physician assistants be board certified. This means they are required to take continuing education and periodically re-certify in their specialties.
